About the Microgeneration Certification Scheme
What is the MCS?
The MCS is a government scheme which is designed to safeguard consumers who are adopting renewable technologies. It aims to ensure the quality of renewable technology installations and products by providing a quality assurance mark. Manufactuers and installers with an MCS mark must have met criteria that help to guarantee safety and good quality. It is also linked to government financial incentive schemes for renewable energy; in many cases only installations carried out with approved products and installers are eligible for these grants. As a quality manufacturer Stiebel Eltron has undergone the rigourous MCS product certification process, which involves testing of products and an assessment of the manufacturing processes, materials, procedures and staff training. Many eligible Stiebel Eltron products are approved and the up to date lists of approved products are available to download below.
